Since its inception in 2003, Hudson Valley Family Physicians has been dedicated to serving families in our community. Years later, as one of the few remaining independent practices, our dedication has not waivered. Our goal is to provide quality medical care, tailored to your unique needs. We strive to not only treat our patients, but educate and encourage active participation in health. We emphasize preventative medicine and early detection of health problems and provide up to date medical advice and information to keep you and your family healthy and safe.

Francesca Hilmi, DO, FAAFP
Dr. Hilmi earned her Medical Degree from A.T. Still University in Kirksville, MO. She has been practicing family medicine for 26 years and enjoys treating patients of all ages.
Amin Elashker, DO
Dr. Elashker earned his medical degree from A.T. Still University in Kirksville, MO. He is an Internal Medicine Physician who has been practicing medicine for 24 years.
Laura Garofalo, PA-C
Laura Garofalo was born in Woodstock, NY and attended Kingston High School. She attended Boston College for her undergraduate education and earned her PA degree from Albany Medical College. She has been practicing for 16 years.
Oksana Nichols, ANP
Oksana Nichols graduated from SUNY Stony Brook as a Nurse Practitioner. She has been working in the hospital first as an RN since 2002 and once completing her ANP in 2011 she moved on to Internal Medicine Hospitalist until joining the practice in 2022. She is originally from Ukraine and currently resides in Olivebridge.
Jan Hoyt, NP
Jan-Lauritzen Hoyt graduated from the University of Rochester as a Nurse Practitioner. She later completed a post-masters certification in pediatrics in order to treat children as well as adults. Jan has been working as a primary care provider in Kingston since 1985 and is originally from the Town of Shandaken.
Ashlee McGahan, NP
Ashlee McGahan completed her nursing degree at the University of New Hampshire. She graduated in 2007 and worked as an RN for Vassar Brothers, Nyack Hospital and St. Luke's in Manhattan. After working in the Emergency Department as an RN for many years, she went back to school to become a Nurse Practitioner. Ashlee completed her Masters degree in nursing at MSMC in Newburgh and fulfilled her dream of becoming a family NP. She has been practicing in the Emergency Department in Ulster County for the last 7 years. Ashlee now works at the Rosendale Medical Center, providing primary and urgent care to our community.
